Ways To Get Involved
Giving tzedakah is a fundamental Jewish value, but nurturing Jewish community goes beyond just making a gift. It requires building relationships and being in each other’s corner. It’s about deepening connections with each other and with Jews around the world.
And it can start with something as simple as attending an event.
Here are a few ways you can get involved:
Cardozo Society
We’re proud to foster a robust and engaged Jewish legal community through the Twin Cities Cardozo Society, where Jewish attorneys, judges, and law students come together to connect and make a difference.
Giving Societies
Honoring our most loyal donors through giving societies is our privilege and honor. Join other like-minded donors for celebration, social events, and guest speakers
Global Experiences
We’re proud to support Jewish communities around the world — and we want you to see those communities firsthand.
Harry Kay Center for Leadership Excellence
A strong community requires strong leaders. Luckily, the Twin Cities Jewish community has the Harry Kay Center for Leadership Excellence.
Israel Center
Minneapolis Jewish Federation’s Israel Center is proud to help you experience Israel, through local events, Israel travel opportunities and scholarships, and chances to connect with our Israeli sister city Rehovot through Partnership2Gether.
Maimonides Society
The Twin Cities Maimonides Society brings together Jewish healthcare professionals for guest speakers and social events tailored to their unique perspective.
Rimon
Rimon champions and connects artists who explore Jewish themes, and makes sure art is part of the community conversation.
Teen Educational Network
The Teen Educational Network (TEN) helps to connect Minneapolis-area Jewish teens with the programs that best suit them, regardless of affiliation or synagogue membership.
Women’s Philanthropy
Women have stepped up for the Jewish community since the early days of Minneapolis Jewish Federation — and we’re proud to continue that strong tradition by giving tzedakah, fundraising, and volunteering.
YALA: Young Adult Leadership Action
The next generation is eager to step up for Jewish community. YALA gives them the tools to do it, through grants for Jewish ideas, chances to connect with each other, and volunteer opportunities.
Shalom Mpls
Shalom MPLS is a program for newcomers with an annual event each summer (the best time of year to gather!)
