Our passionate donors have done so much for the community. Honoring our most loyal donors through giving societies is our privilege and honor.

Through giving societies, you can join other like-minded donors for celebration, social events, and guest speakers. Toast to making a difference and hear from representatives of the people impacted by your generosity!

 

 


 

Silver Circle Society (25+ years)

Silver Circle donors are committed and generous donors who have given to MJF’s annual Community Campaign, at any level, for a minimum of 25 years. Their fortitude and perseverance to sustain Jewish life in Minneapolis for over two decades has led us to be the great community we are today, and will ensure that the generations after us will continue to benefit from its vibrancy. PEARL SOCIETY (Women giving $365+)

With a household gift of $365—or a dollar a day—to MJF’s annual Community Campaign, Pearl Society members are a group of inspiring Jewish women who want to see our community thrive. Pearl Society members are invited to the denim and pearl annual Women of Intention Award ceremony and proudly wear the signature Minneapolis Pearl Society necklace, designed by Goldfine Jewelry. BEN GURION SOCIETY (EMERGING LEADERS GIVING $1,800+)

The Ben Gurion Society is a prestigious group of dynamic young leaders in their 30s and 40s from across the country, founded on the principles of David Ben-Gurion, who urged young people to channel their power, passion, and resources to build a strong and responsible Jewish community. NATIONAL YOUNG LEADERSHIP CABINET (Young Leaders giving $5,000+)

National Young Leadership Cabinet (NYLC) is the Jewish Federation of North America’s premier leadership development program for adults ages 30-45 that educates and connects the next generation of global Jewish leaders and philanthropists. NYLC trains and inspires the most promising young volunteers for positions of leadership in the Jewish community. Cabinet has a five-year curriculum that is aligned with its members’ advancement. Each year builds on the skills and knowledge acquired during the previous one. In addition, members are able to enrich and strengthen their development on a global level, through premiere travel experiences that include hands-on service opportunities, meeting with local and national leaders and engaging with the people who our work impacts.

LION OF JUDAH SOCIETY (Women giving $5,000+)

Lions of Judah are some of the most dynamic philanthropic women in the world. Created in 1972 in Miami by Norma Kipnis-Wilson and Toby Friedland z”l, the Lion of Judah program has brought together women of all ages and from many walks of life to play an essential role in creating social justice, healing the sick, feeding the hungry, preserving human dignity, and building Jewish identity.

The Lion of Judah is a symbol of a Jewish woman’s strength, a symbol of her caring about the organized Jewish world, and a symbol of her financial commitment of at least $5,000 to MJF’s annual Community Campaign. Nearly 18,000 women worldwide are Lions of Judah, with over 360 right here in Minneapolis.

JOSHUA SOCIETY ($10,000+)

A community of philanthropists who demonstrate the loyalty, charisma and skillful leadership of this group’s namesake. These families and individuals contribute $10,000 or more per household to their to MJF’s annual Community Campaign. If philanthropy provides the momentum behind the progress and advancements we see in society, then our Joshua Society members are amongst those with the most impact. Exclusive events and travel opportunities are available to Joshua Society members.

KING DAVID SOCIETY ($25,000+)

Like their eponymous namesake, our King David Society members, who contribute a minimum $25,000 family gift to MJF’s annual Community Campaign, are visionary leaders who share a passionate concern for issues that affect the worldwide Jewish community and whose remarkable philanthropy both sets an inspiring standard for giving in Jewish Colorado and makes a lasting difference. Exclusive local and national learning and travel opportunities are available to King David Society members.

PRIME MINISTER COUNCIL ($100,000+)

The Jewish Federation’s leading donors, who contribute at least $100,000 to MJF’s annual Community Campaign, demonstrate remarkable generosity and a deep commitment to our community. By setting inspiring standards in philanthropic giving, our elite Prime Minister Council members take their rightful place as leaders in Jewish Minneapolis and beyond, bettering our world today and shaping the future of Jewish philanthropy. LION OF JUDAH ENDOWMENT (WOMEN establishing a $100,000+ endowment)

Establish a Lion of Judah Endowment (LOJE) and endow your Lion of Judah gift in perpetuity. Leave a legacy that can help uphold social justice, heal the sick, preserve human dignity, and provide Jewish education and Jewish growth for all.Endowed gifts are within the reach of a Lion of Judah, regardless of her age or giving level.
Thousands of Lions of Judah in North America have established endowments totaling nearly $600 million to sustain our Jewish community for generations to come.

STAR OF DAVID SOCIETY ($200,000+ endowment)

Our highest level of giving is the Star of David Society, comprised of individuals who create an endowment of at least $200,000 to support MJF’s annual Community Campaign or who establish another permanent endowment with assets of at least $500,000. The Star of David Society is an elite national recognition program that honors outstanding philanthropists whose commitment to Jewish life and the Jewish community reaches from this generation into the future.
