Minneapolis, meet Rehovot. Rehovot, meet Minneapolis.
Our Israeli sister city, one of the first modern Israeli communities, used to be known for its orange groves. Today, Rehovot — located about 12 miles south of Tel Aviv — is the center of the food tech industry. It boasts a world class science institute, and a steady exchange of visitors, ideas, and conversation with the Minneapolis Jewish community.
Since 2015, Minneapolis has been paired with Rehovot through the Jewish Agency for Israel’s program Partnership2Gether (P2G). In that time, The Israel Center has facilitated dozens of trips to and from Rehovot, hosted countless programs, conversations, and dialogues, and truly bridged the gap between Minneapolis and Israel.
Our Partnership2Gether Mission
To develop and strengthen Jewish communities in Israel and overseas by creating revitalized, ongoing, and meaningful engagement between members of these communities, based on mutual endeavor and shared Jewish identity.
