Lion of Judah
Lions of Judah have a reputation for good — they’re some of the most dynamic philanthropic women in the world. The Lion of Judah is a symbol of a Jewish woman’s strength and dedication to the Jewish world.
Created in 1972 in Miami by Norma Kipnis-Wilson z”l and Toby Friedland z”l, the Lion of Judah program has brought together women of all ages and from many walks of life to play an essential role in creating social justice, healing the sick, feeding the hungry, preserving human dignity, and building Jewish identity.
Lions of Judah make a minimum household gift of $5,000 to Minneapolis Jewish Federation’s annual Community Campaign. Nearly 18,000 women worldwide are Lions of Judah, with over 360 right here in Minneapolis.
