This award was established in 2001 by the family of Leon & Sylvia Sorkin in order to recognize a staff person working in the Jewish community who has demonstrated longstanding commitment, dedication, and integrity in the field.
Nominees for the Leon and Sylvia Sorkin Jewish Communal Professional Achievement Award must have:
- Shown long term commitment to an agency/synagogue;
- Developed innovative programs or creative problem solving;
- Demonstrated excellence in representing an agency/synagogue.
In addition to completing the form below, and in an effort to get more information about the nominee, please attach at least one letter of reference from someone other than yourself who has knowledge of the nominee’s involvement in the Jewish community.
