The Minneapolis Jewish Federation devotes time and resources towards identifying community needs and ensuring that those needs are met.  Through research and strategic planning, the Federation is discovering unmet needs, prioritizing existing investments and determining how funds raised should best be distributed.

Twin Cities Jewish Population Study
A comprehensive Jewish Population Study was conducted in the Twin Cities in 2004. The information collected is helping our community identify critical needs and address those needs by securing dollars for existing/new programs and services. Learn more.

Planning Commissions
To better serve our local Jewish community, three Planning Commissions were created with a focus on Human Services, Jewish Education and Maximizing Participation in Jewish Life. These communally representative bodies are charged with ongoing research and planning to determine how best to meet community needs. Learn more.

Annual Campaign
The Minneapolis Jewish Federation helps meet the needs of Jewish people, locally and around the world. Through its Annual Campaign, the Federation raises and distributes millions of dollars that support more than 50 partner agencies and programs. Jewish Community Foundation
The Jewish Community Foundation is the planned-giving and endowment department of the Minneapolis Jewish Federation. The Foundation and its donors provide funds for cultural, educational, humanitarian and social services for the Jewish and general communities. Learn more.

Donor Relationship Managers
Donor Relationship Managers are Federation professionals responsible for matching donors' philanthropic passions with prioritized funding opportunities in the Jewish community. These professionals work closely with individual donors and their families in helping them meet their philanthropic goals.
