ABOUT: The Young Leadership division of the Minneapolis Jewish Federation serves as the central address providing philanthropic, social, cultural, and community service opportunities for Jewish young adults (21-40) in the Twin Cities. Young Leadership is committed to building community, caring for the welfare of Jews everywhere, and maximizing participation in Jewish life. The Minneapolis Jewish Federation Young Leadership Division is an open and affirming community that welcomes with outstretched arms the Jewish LGBTQ community, interfaith and interracial relationships, and is inclusive to Jews with special needs.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED: You can learn more about Young Leadership by contacting Shana Cohen, scohen@mplsfed.org or 952-417-2351. The Harry Kay Leadership Institute Class of 2011-13 Announced
What will the future of our Jewish community look like? If the dynamic group of 32 young Jewish adults chosen to participate in the Harry Kay Leadership Institute Class of 2011-13 have anything to say about it, we should all feel optimistic.
The Institute, which has been shaping our community's future leaders for many years, gives ambitious 25-45 year-olds the tools they need to develop leadership skills, gain a deeper understanding of our local and overseas Jewish communities, and learn to effectively address the issues and challenges facing us today as a Jewish people. This year's class was carefully selected from a pool of more than 80 candidates nominated by local agencies, synagogues, and community leaders.
The Harry Kay Leadership Institute is a joint initiative of the Minneapolis Jewish Federation and the United Jewish Fund and Council of St. Paul and is supported by the Harry Kay Foundation.
